CRITICAL UPDATE: ProQA v5.1.1.39 Maintenance Release

Did you update to Medical ProQA ® v5.1.1.39 that we released on February 11, 2021?

  • If YES, and you're using MPDS® v13.3, we've uncovered a glitch that may affect you. Please download this new build immediately.
  • If YES and you're NOT using MPDS v13.3, you don't need to do anything additional at this time. You may continue to use ProQA v5.1.1.39 (2/11/2021).

If you haven't yet updated, now is the time to install ProQA v5.1.1.39 (3/29/2021) so you have all of the important updates that make it the latest standard of care.

REQUIREMENT BEFORE UPDATING TO MPDS v13.3.190 (1/29/2021)

BEFORE UPDATING: Your agency is required to review this video which outlines the significant changes made in MPDS v13.3.190 (1/29/2021) to the Advanced Compressions Monitor to improve its function and usability, including Mouth-ToMouth, Mouth-To-Stoma, and Evaluate Breathing instructions inside the tool itself.

IMPORTANT: Be sure your agency reviews this Advanced Compressions Monitor video to understand the flow and additions that have been made BEFORE installing ProQA v5.1.1.39.

New in MPDS v13.3.190 (1/29/2021)

ADVANCED COMPRESSIONS MONITOR DX

  • Significant changes were made to improve its function and usability, including Mouth-To-Mouth, Mouth-To-Stoma, and Evaluate Breathing instructions inside the tool itself.

EIDS TOOL

  • Two new questions were added to record whether the patient tested positive for COVID in the last 14 days or received a COVID vaccination.

PROTOCOL 2: Allergies (Reactions)/Envenomations (Stings, Bites)

  • New answer choices were added to differentiate between an EpiPen that belongs to the patient and someone else's EpiPen available on scene (caller is advised to use either one if available).

PROTOCOLS 6, 10, 13 and 26: Breathing Problems, Chest Pain/Chest Discomfort (Non-Traumatic), Diabetic Problems, and Sick Person (Specific Diagnosis)

  • A new answer choice "Tested COVID-positive in the last 14 days" was added to two KQs.

MULTIPLE PROTOCOLS

  • The AED retrieval PDI was greyed out for first party (alone) patients.
