ProQA v5.1.1.41 Maintenance Release

The International Academies of Emergency Dispatch® (IAED™) and Priority Dispatch® are pleased to release ProQA® v5.1.1.41 Maintenance Release with many IAED protocol updates as well as software enhancements. We'll walk you through some key updates below.

ProQA v5.1.1.41 Release Video

FOREIGN LANGUAGE INFORMATION:

This initial release is for English-only users with a foreign language release to follow in two weeks. We recommend that bilingual agencies perform one update after foreign languages have been released to ensure full functionality in all supported languages.

MPDS v13.3.228 (6/29/2021) UPDATE

PROTOCOL T: Tourniquet

  • DLS Link "Severe limb injury with catastrophic hemorrhage evident" was clarified on multiple protocols containing DLS Links related to SERIOUS bleeding.

PROTOCOLS 3, 4, 17, AND 30

  • If a patient has injured their head, Key Question “Is s/he having any difficulty breathing?” is now asked, and the Det. Code “Chest/Neck/Head injury (with difficulty breathing)” is qualified.

PROTOCOL 6: Breathing Problems

  • On Protocol 6, Key Questioning was streamlined for patients with UNCERTAIN BREATHING.

PROTOCOL 13: Diabetic Problems

  • The Breathing Verification Dx result of "Slow Deteriorating Rate (consider AGONAL)" now shunts to Protocol 9.

PROTOCOL 24: Pregnancy/Childbirth/Miscarriage

  • A new Determinant Code was added and several other changes were made to address a possible MISCARRIAGE with SIGNS OF LIFE.

FPDS v7.1.115 (6/25/2021) UPDATE

PROTOCOL 69: Structure Fire

  • The coding was changed for garage fires where the garage is not attached to another building.

PAI PANELS A-6, B-2, AND D-2

  • Comment boxes were added so EFDs can record the answers to critical location life safety questions and pass the information on in a timely manner.

PPDS v6.4.97 (6/29/2021) UPDATE

ADMIN UTILITY

  • Globally, additional lines allowing for multiple entries were added to the Special Definitions of PAST Event and OMEGA Coding Conditions.

CASE ENTRY AND PROTOCOLS 121 AND 127: Mental Disorder (Behavioral Problems) and Suicidal Person/Attempted Suicide

  • A new party of caller "Caller in crisis" was added.

PROTOCOL 113: Disturbance/Nuisance

  • Determinant Code 113-B-4 "CIVIL MATTER" was designated as an OMEGA-eligible code.

PROTOCOL 131: Traffic/Transportation Incident (Crash)

  • Key Questions “How many vehicles are involved?” and “What’s the exact location of the vehicle(s) now?” are now optional Jurisdictionally Approved Questions.
