Priority Dispatch Corp. (PDC) was the recipient of the International Business of the Year Award Aug. 26 at the 2nd annual Utah Global Forum, hosted by Utah Gov. Gary Herbert and presented in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Jeff Clawson, inventor of the Priority Dispatch System (PDS), founder of the company, and its CEO, accepted the award, presented by Key Bank and the World Trade Association of Utah.
“It’s a great honor to receive this award,” Dr. Clawson said. “We’ve been able to do things that we call the creation of meaningful change. By inventing things, by getting things out, making things happen in a rapid fashion, we’re able not only to save lives but improve the life of every person that calls 911 or an equivalent three-digit number in the world that uses the process. Thanks to all the people that really make this happen. I thought up the idea, but it doesn’t go anywhere without the great people who are behind it.”
PDC’s emergency dispatch calltaking products, services, and training have been used by more than 35 years in 42 countries and translated into 19 languages and dialects.
The Utah Business Forum is an event to help Utah businesses expand their international trade, and international company owners and investors seeking investment opportunities.
